Hello,

Being a student designer is a journey of discovery and exploration. Central to my approach is the fascination with ways that design might solve problems in an elegant and innovative manner. I learn to balance form with function; making whatever it is I create not only pleasing to the eyes but useful and serving a purpose. I now primarily focus on understanding minimalism, because simplicity can expose the reality and beauty of the design. Everything inspires me: the natural environment, the bustling energy of the city, and authentic stories of people around. These experiences have shaped me to deal with the materials, colors, and textures to experiment with the way these varied elements come together in any given design. Particularly, I am very much attracted to the concept of sustainability and would love to put forward some eco-friendly practices at work. “This dedication to sustainability in design calls me to think creatively of how I would make designs that are not only beautiful and functional but also environmentally responsible. As I continue my studies, I’m excited to push my boundaries and challenge traditional design norms. I see design as a powerful tool of change, an ability to convert spaces, objects, and perceptions in such a way that thought is both incited and inspirational. And I would like to develop as a designer in a positive pursuit of the goal and bring into this world only positive changes with my work. To an extent, I feel this statement is a snapshot of where I stand in my design journey: still hungry to learn, ready to explore, and pretty much open to the myriad possibilities that design holds.
